Les Nuits MED
Les Nuits MED (Corsican short film festival) et la Corse reviennent à l’occasion de la plus grande manifestation de cinéma au monde (76e édition) à Cannes.
Pendant cinq jours, du 20 au 24 mai, Les Nuits MED, débuteront l’itinérance de sa 16ème édition entre deux cocktails au Bénitier les 20 et 22 mai à Cannes pour les annonces officielles des lauréats des deux résidences d’écritures mais aussi des rencontres sur son stand (numéro 14.01) à partir du 21 mai à l’intérieur du Palais des Festivals, au Marché du film coté court-métrage suivi de deux projections programmées dont l’une sera proposée par la COOPMED* pour la première fois.
En partenariat avec la Collectivité de Corse, France Télévisions, l’Institut Français de Tunisie, Cinéfeel prod et ses partenaires, cinq rendez-vous sont proposés :
- « Corsica #3 », projection Marché de courts métrages tournés en Corse – le 22 mai à 11h30 au Palais des Festivals,
- « Coopmed #1 », la première projection Marché de courts métrages méditerranéens – le 23 mai à 14h15 au Palais des Festivals,
- La rencontre « COOPMED » – le 24 mai de 9h30 à 10h30, en Palais Stage niveau -1 du Palais,
- 2 Cocktails (sur invitation) le 20 et 22 mai au Bénitier dès 18h pour l’annonce de la sélection officielle des lauréats qui participeront aux deux résidences d’écriture à venir : « Med in Scénario avec France Télévisions » et « Courts entre deux rives » avec France 3 Corse ViaStella, la Collectivité de Corse, l’Institut Français de Tunisie, Allindi, Cinéfeel prod et l’Agora.
La Méditerranée a donc rendez-vous au cœur de cet événement cannois sous l’impulsion de KVA Diffusion, organisateur du festival itinérant Les Nuits Méditerranéennes du court-métrage, générateur de Talents où la Corse brille au-delà de ses frontières en matière de création dans cet espace méditerranéen.»
*Coopmed est une coopération à but non lucratif gérée par l’association Diffusion KVA en Corse et visant à promouvoir et diffuser des œuvres audiovisuelles produites en Méditerranée. Ce projet de coopération permet de relier les festivals de film et ateliers des différents bords de la mer Méditerranée et de découvrir et valoriser les talents locaux. Associant déjà des festivals d’Italie, de Tunisie, d’Algérie, du Maroc, d’Espagne et de France, CoopMed a pour objectif de soutenir et d’accompagner la création grâce à un réseau étendu, tout en améliorant les pratiques culturelles par le biais d’actions centrées autour de l’éducation à l’image, l’écriture scénaristique et la composition pour l’image.
Les Nuits MED and Corsica back on the Croisette
Les Nuits MED (Corsican short film festival) and Corsica return on the occasion of the biggest cinema event in the world (76th edition) in Cannes.
For five days, from May 20 to 24, Les Nuits MED will begin the roaming of its 16th edition between two cocktails at the Bénitier on May 20 and 22 in Cannes for the official announcements of the winners of the two writing residencies but also meetings on its stand (number 14.01) from May 21 inside the Palais des Festivals, at the Film Market for short films, followed by two scheduled screenings, one of which will be offered by COOPMED* for the first time.
In partnership with the Community of Corsica, France Télévisions, the French Institute of Tunisia, Cinéfeel prod and its partners, five meetings are offered:
- “Corsica #3”, Market screening of short films shot in Corsica – May 22 at 11:30 a.m. at the Palais des Festivals,
- “Coopmed #1”, the first Market screening of Mediterranean short films – May 23 at 2:15 p.m. at the Palais des Festivals,
- The “COOPMED” meeting – May 24 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., level -1 Palais Stage,
- 2 Cocktails (by invitation) on 20 and 22 May at the Bénitier from 6 p.m. for the announcement of the official selection of the winners who will participate in the two upcoming writing residencies: “Med in Scenario with France Télévisions” and “Between two shores with France 3 Corse ViaStella, the Community of Corsica, the French Institute of Tunisia, Allindi, Cinéfeel prod and the Agora.
The Mediterranean therefore has an appointment at the heart of this Cannes event under the impetus of KVA Diffusion, organizer of the traveling festival Les Nuits Méditerranéennes du court-film, generator of Talents where Corsica shines beyond its borders in terms of creation in this Mediterranean area.
*COOPMED is a non-profit cooperation conducted by the association Diffusion KVA in Corsica and aiming to showcase and broadcast audiovisual works produced in the Mediterranean. This collaborative project allows to connect film festivals and workshops from all sides of the Mediterranean sea and to discover and highlight local talents. Already combining festivals from Italy, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Spain and France, CoopMed’s objective is to support and accompany creation thanks to an expansive network, while improving cultural practices through actions centered around film education, screenwriting and musical composition in it.
