UN FOCUS SUR LES ACTEURS DU TERRITOIRE
Au-delà de son ouverture internationale, cette sélection met également en lumière la vitalité de la création locale. Plusieurs œuvres ont été produites ou accompagnées par des sociétés insulaires, témoignant du dynamisme du tissu audiovisuel corse.
Une attention particulière est également portée aux filières de formation ainsi qu’aux dispositifs d’accompagnement destinés aux autodidactes, qui jouent un rôle essentiel dans l’émergence de nouveaux talents. Cette dynamique souligne l’importance des parcours d’apprentissage et des cadres de soutien dans le renouvellement des écritures et des regards.
Ce dialogue entre ancrage territorial et ouverture méditerranéenne affirme la volonté du festival de soutenir à la fois la création locale et les échanges artistiques internationaux.

Sélection 2026
The official selection of this 19th edition consists of 15 short films competing in the First Films category and 20 short films in the Mediterranean section.
The First Films category has seen a significant increase this year, reflecting a sharp rise in submissions compared to the previous edition.This initial international selection highlights a true Mediterranean spirit, with works from France, Catalonia, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, and Kazakhstan. Among the First Films, there are 4 documentaries and 11 fiction films, directed by 9 female directors and 6 male directors, including one co-directing duo. Themes of origin, memory, childhood, self-construction, territory, women’s condition, and social perspective lie at the heart of this fifth selection dedicated to first films.
In the Mediterranean selection, composed mainly of second, third, and fourth films, animation makes its debut alongside documentary and fiction. This section includes 3 animated films, 2 documentaries, and 15 fiction films. Themes of migration, romantic relationships, diversity, disability, and identity form the common thread of this 8th competition, bringing together 8 female directors, 10 male directors, and 2 co-directed projects.
A FOCUS ON LOCAL TALENT
Beyond its international scope, this selection also highlights the vitality of local creation. Several works have been produced or supported by Corsican companies, reflecting the dynamism of the island’s audiovisual sector.
Special attention is also given to training pathways and support schemes for self-taught filmmakers, which play a key role in the emergence of new talent. This dynamic underscores the importance of learning journeys and support frameworks in renewing storytelling and perspectives.This dialogue between territorial roots and Mediterranean openness reflects the festival’s commitment to supporting both local creation and international artistic exchange.
